um.....u dont explain urself too well. what do u mean by gooey? its above ur stomach, so is it below ur nipples? is it on the surface or is deeper inside? and again, clerify "gooey". all in all, this doesnt sound too good, id defintaly get an appointment with ur doctor

From the brief description, it just sounds like you have a lot of mucus in your gullet. Some more info would help, if you're still worried though go to your doctors.
