How many of you have missed a school day because of a period? What about going home early because you can't bear the cramping?
How do you bring it up to your parents? Just say "I don't feel good" or do you hint that it's the period pains?

I've never had my periods get so bad that they affect my day. If your periods are that bad, you should see a doctor.

I actually went home the first time I got my period I didn't know what it was I thought I was ill. But since then it's painkillers and grin and bear it. A day off every month I'd fall behind majorly.

I've been off school quite a few times because of period pains, and I just tell my mum straight out why I don't feel well and she usually asks if i'm well enough to go to school. Was always a good way to get out of school...

When i used to get them that bad i'd just ask my dad if i could stay home. he didn't like hearing about my period so he just say sure, whatever, so that the conversation would end. But ever since i got on the pill they aren't that bad anymore.
