If a father slaps his son for misbehaving, and this kid is crying and it's happened a few times before, is this classified as abuse or is it just a correction tactic?
Cheers guys

In my opinion, I think it's just a correction tactic. As long as it doesn't happen too often. I would never hit a child, but for some parents its hard to come up for punishments.

This is what I think abuse is. If an adult, be it guardian, parent or someone else:
- Rapes/molests/touches a child inappropriately
- Beats child till they bruise or bleed
- Deprive a child of food or water
- Emotionally wounds a child e.g. "You fucking retard, jump off a roof! Nobody loves you!" or "You're a mistake. I wish you were never born!"
- Injures any vital parts of the body e.g. slams head on the floor
The occasional slap, belting or scolding, nah. But that's just me. I'm pretty sure a lot of people think otherwise.

That would be illegal in Norway.
You should not lay hands on children, use other methods instead of abusing them physicaly.
