View Full Version : My little "Breakdown"

So it must have been about a month ago now I had what people would call a breakdown.
I was at a "gathering" and I had had a bit to drink. Like not that much but enough to feel good. I don't really remember what happened but I started to panic and we were inside and I needed to open the back door apparently to make a phone call. I couldn't open it because I didn't have a key so I started to try to open them with anything I could find ... mainly small chocolates. My parents were called and I started like being really aggressive I was spitting everywhere and I was hitting my arms and legs around and all that jazz. I didn't have a hangover the next morning so that is how I know that I wasn't actually drunk!
But anyway my mum is making me talk to her about it and I have managed to get out of doing to for now but I know that it is going to come a some point. So basically what I am asking is what shall I say to her to like clam her down and not freak out about everything? What shall I do if she like kicks me out or does something horrible? Has anyone been through the same thing? How did your parents react?
Amy :) x

I haven't been through something like this, but I'll try to answer it anyway.

First off, just because you don't have a hangover, doesn't mean you weren't affected by alcohol. I would start off by telling her you did have some drinks. Does she know about this? If you have never done something like this (drinking as much as you did), tell her that as well if you think she will understand. If you think she won't understand about drinking, try to tell her, but sincerely apologize. If she punishes you, hopefully not badly, I would accept it and not argue.

Hope everything goes well for you, and if you need anything fee free to PM me :)
