omg help me, this is urgent!

ok so my friend that doesn't live remotely close to me (He lives in the UK, I live in Canada) but anyways his dad found out some stuff he shouldn't do.. ( well to him but it was just cyber sex and porn.) He also suffers with anxiety and depression. He cuts himself and has some scars. Well his dad started to beat him, he cut a huge gash out of his lip and ripped open his scars and he's freaking out when this is happening. And then that freaky moment came.. He said oh shit gtg. I think his dad read what we were talking about and I have no clue what to do. He says if he calls the police that they'll come too late and the fight will be over. Please help, this is an urgent cry for help!

I really don't want to say/admit this, but it sounds like he dug his own grave this last time. If he knew what aggitated his dad, then he should have probably stopped. If what his dad saw this last time he said "o shit gtg" was porn, then this is a perfect example of addiction. I don't really get the whole story though, so it is sort of hard to help.

Nonetheless, this is still a terrible way to go about punishing the son. Unfortunately, I guess I'm a couple hours late to tell you to (somehow) tell him to call the cops anyways and that there's nothing you can do...

as a rule we don't like to lock threads in the ward for being old
due the the fact that it could still help someone
and the wards activity isnt as high so older threads could easily still be on the first page
