There a good number of big name titles coming out this winter. What are you looking forward to and for what platform?
Im looking forward to:
Battlefield 3 360 and pc
Assassins Creed Revelations 360
Modern Warfare 3 360 (like bf more, but I had the first 2 so why not)
Skyrim, cant afford to buy that right away but willing to play
Ghost Recon(been ready for that since the last 2 release dates, might actually get a kinect with it though.)
Armored Core V

I'm really looking forward to Ace Combat: Assault Horizon. For one, I've played every game on the consoles since 04 came out, and this seems to be the first one set in the real world... I'm curious as to how the helicopter role will work out, along with the other features the game will include. It looks like a pretty good game! :D

Rapture is one of the best game cities to venture through and the story, voice work, graphics, weapons, gameplay, perks...I could go on. Seriously one of the best series' there are. Let alone Infinite! That's just a whole new setup all together.

My parents think if they buy me a console I will become addicted to games. It honestly couldn't get much worse from how much I use the computer. They get a new computer every 5-10 years. My newest computer (laptop) can't handle bioshock and the desktop before that (imac 2007) is way too old. The next computer I get will be a desktop which will happen in maybe 3-4 years if I'm lucky. By then I will be able to play bioshock.

Dang, I'm sorry but that has to suck. I had to save up for my computer(Dell XPS 8100) but it was worth it. Matter of fact, I told my mom that "since I needed a decent computer for college, I might as well by a very good one that will last me." Not to mention, one that I can upgrade vs buy a whole new one every couple years. Cheaper in the long run. Try that line and see what happens. If they go for it, then you just so happen to have the power to play games on it;)

What about those of us who like Call of Duty how it is and just want to see what's there improved? Seems to me that the only people who give a fuck about CoD's supposed lack of innovation (although MW3 is far more innovative than BF3. I could count BF3's new features on one hand) are those who already play other games. People who play CoD play it because they enjoy it, as do I, hence my buying the game. It's fun. MW3 takes what was great about CoD4 + MW2 and expands upon it.
"The core gameplay is the same though!" I hear you say. Yes, this is how it should be. Why would they want to change the core gameplay? If they do that then it's not Call of Duty anymore.

But that's exactly it though. If you keep the same core gameplay, you aren't giving your fans any diversity and you aren't even trying to reach out to others. I think it's absolutely disgraceful that a good shooting franchise is almost scrapping the bottom of the barrel now. It would still be Call of Duty if they change the gameplay, but only a different type of Call of Duty. Do you really think the first three Call of Duty games have the same gameplay as the Modern Warfare series? You're wrong. That's why they made Modern Warfare in the first place. IW wanted to change the core gameplay of what people were used to, and now it's high time they change it again.

The full version of Minecraft comes out next Friday, November 18th. Also, the last Duke Nukem game sucked balls.
