So yesterday, my recruiter took me and 2 other people to our local MEPS station and i took my asvab. After everything was done, i found out i scored a 76 on AFQT which is pretty high considering i was mainly interested in either infantry or intelligence. When we went back to the recruiting station, my recruiter told me that i had 51 jobs available, including special forces which i always thought was really cool and kinda kept in my head if i ever got the chance to go out for it.

My question for people here that either know about the army or were in the army is what is the AIT for special forces like? Is it just like regular infantry where i go to BCT, then go to regular AIT for infantry, then i go to another school for special forces? If i do get in for the special forces, i want to stay here in hawaii and join the 100th battalion because for them, they always send out people to go to different schools to recieve accredited training for their MOS. If i do finish everything, i want to go into sapper school and get my MOS in something that has to do with explosives and frontline contact.

Since No one else has replied, Ill help you if I can, no im not from the USA - but Australia where I am is similar to a degree. Im in Defence forse cadets over here so Ill try and help.

SF's are a great idea to aspire to. Is the aim of most military personnell. However its bloody hard to get into. You have to be super fit, and work super hard. If your willing to put in the hard yards then go for it.

Being a sppaer also is a great choice. Over here sappers do alot of interesting stuff, and my cdt unit is located on a sapper base, so I have talked to a few in my time. Also a great way to go if you wish.

From my study of US Military, I recall you can go directly into as SF, or you can go infantry and gain some experience, before passing over.

If You need anymore help, give us a yell and Id be happy to help where I can :)
