f/a-18 superhornet or f-22 raptor

F/A 18 is the best multirole. But the F-22 would desroy it in air to air combat. The F-35 will replace the FA18 so that there will be a multirole stealth aircraft

Sure the newer ones are stealth, but the other ones have done the job so well that the stealth aircraft, with their lack of pylons would not be able to accomplish as much in a single sortie as the older aircraft.

F-22 because it's more modern and can be used for stealth. but also cause it's my favourite. but also it's pratt and whiney (I think it's whiney) engines break the sound barrier easy

Neither. I say F-35. :) The F-35 is one hell of an aircraft. If I could, I would buy one just to go to school in. I would be at school in a second. Not to mention the cool points I would get by showing up in a military jet. :)

At the moment the F-22. But the F18 hornet is going to be retired by the F-35. The F-35 is suppose to replace the F18 Hornet and F16. Course its will be awhile after the F35 is produced because we need quite alot of them to replace the F18 and F16.

I personally like the Sukhoi 47 Berkut only because of the wing shape, although it is an experimental aircraft. I find it odd that nobody included Russian planes like the Migs and Sukhois.

The Israeli Air Force's modifications of the F-15 and F-16 are amazing too.

Just wondering, what do you guys think of the SAAB Jas 39 Gripen plane used by the Swedish and South African Air Forces, among a few others? I didn't even know SAAB make planes. I think it is not a bad plane, but it doesn't equal the F-22 or F-35 which will be the superior aircraft for the foreseeable future until a new plane is made.

Which Russian aircraft do you think equal the US aircraft?

Neither, as Multi role aircraft go I prefer the Typhoon. If anything I think it just looks great :)

But the euro fighter would have to be extremely close to lock on not to mention its cruising speed is over the speed of sound so using its after burners it could out run them :D

Raptor simply because of the stealth capability. I do love the superhornet though... favorite demo at airshows :)

The f-22 was way over budgef aswell and had and continues To have many more problems then the f-35. Don't get me wrong I love both aircraft but i prefer the f-35 over the f-22.

Sorry but not true the f-22 is pretty cheap for how advanced it is plus it was never meant to be cheap the whole plan was to have one more expensive that could take the place of many cheaper ones

F-15. I know, it's not some computer-controlled, gizmo-loaded super-fighter but it's a darn good airplane and it's hard to argue against it's record.
