I'm going to give a literal translation.
To be bi, straight, gay, etc.. you must be both physically and emotionally attracted to the person(s)

Hi sarah, this is actually not about just knowing, it's more of; if you are hence you are.
This confusion would be more prominent when we are in school and somewhat the social circle we are in.
But at the end of the day, the emotional attraction superceeds physical attraction and sexual attraction.
The most common misunderstanding which floats around is the sexual portion. I have been sexually interested in girls, but emotionally inclined to guys.
Hence does it make me technically straight or bisexual ?
Some would close to say I'm homosexual as well.
There's no clear definition to how bi is bi or how homosexual is homosexual.
These answers lay within our own jurisdiction, and how far we wish to define ourselves.
As far as it is, there's no wrong or right answer, it's just about being true to yourself.
Good luck

use the basic law of sexuality XD.
see, to be bi or gay, you need to have both sexual and emotional feelings towards a person of the same sex, its like when you feel that you love a person, when you can picture yourself doing romantic stuff with someone and really like it :)

You end up liking what you like. It doesn't matter what you are. Your identity isn't about your sexuality, that's just part of it. And when you finally do figure it out, you'll know. Don't think too hard on it now. Because it doesn't matter. Just go with what you feel.

I think that when you are a teen you are to young to have a definitive answer. This is coming from someone who used to think he was bi at around age 14, but now I consider myself straight at age 16

Let me put it a different way; imagine a straight couple just with same sex people.
That wad a bad one, watch the Sex and the City TV series, but imagine Carrie as a lesbian.
