It's when someone cuts them self because of emotional pain. They'd rather feel something physical, something they can deal with, rather than dealing with a certain emotion.

People (mostly teens) cut them selves because it feels better 2 them then dealing wit inside pain (your feelings)! Dont cut yourself because if you start you wont be able 2 stop..i had 2 see a counselour for 4 yrs. before i stoped!

it's somehting hard to understand if you're not in that situation,. it relieves the indivdual, some believe they should feel pain, to cure or relieve emotional pain

like Jake said, it's hard to understand if you've not been in the situation. It gives you quick relief, but it is really just making you worse. Don't ever start!

Well, "cutting" is the same as self mutilating. It's taking a razor and cutting your wrists. It's done by teens who are "overly stressed". It relieves the stress. It's very unhealthy and should not be done. That's what the label of"emo" is for. Emo, means emotional and cuts. But, I'm confused, because every human has emotions. So shouldnt they be called OverEmo, or somethin?
