Ok so i am friends with this really nice girl and i like her. But i don't want to ask her out and have her say no and not think of me as a friend no more any advice?
oh ya and homecoming dance is coming up. :)

If she's a good friend then it shouldn't hurt your friendship. Go for it.
Also, Don't be afraid to ask her to the dance.

Well, you're friends, so unless she has a boyfriend, I doubt she won't like the idea of going with you to the dance. I think you could ask, not letting imply that that invitation has a romantic reason behind it. Then, on the dance you'll have opportunities to show you like her.
Now, you can also ask her out in another context that isn't going to the dance. My advice is that you ask her the way I said up there, that is, without implying you like her, because that could put her off.
Just remember, you can't force her to like you, so if she says no, don't insist, or it'll most likely ruin your friendship.
