How to convince my mum...

Hey peeps, need your help,
How do I convince my mum to let me get piercings done, I don't see why she's so stubborn about it, I told her I would take care of them ie. after-care and keeping them clean, but she still refuses to let me get them done.

There really isn't much of a way to convince parents, they can be really stubborn. Start off by acting a little more mature around them, helping them with house work, making better grades... Eventually they might let you get them if you do all that...

Frankly, I gave up a long time ago trying to get my dad to let me have anymore piercings :P

In all honesty, I would just not get them if she really doesn't want you to. Try doing what Triste recommended, but don't get them behind her back or anything.

Option 1: Get clip on's that don't actually pierce your ear

Option 2: Realize what little good piercings would do for you

There isn't really a way to convince them, if they really wont let you, you'll have to wait. I've probably wanted to pierce my lip since I was 10 or something, never doubted it, but I'm not allowed to get it anyways.

Have you talked to her about if there's some certain reason she wont let you get one?

To be honest in, lets say a months time she still refuses to let me get them, I'll do it behind her back, there's not much she can do then

Dont do it behind her back bro, got my tounge and lip pierced after my mum said no and it got me kicked out. Well that and more, but still.. dont do it. Just tell her you can take of them and that youre responsible enough. I'm probably of no help but, good luck man!

My cousin went to Europe before college and my Uncle told him that he couldn't come back with any peircings, that's it. He was in Eroupe for a month and when he came back, guess what he had done. He got his ear peirced.

Okay so my Uncle, whom is rather rich had waiting for my cousin a brand new corvett, a check that paid for all four years of college. No, my cousin was an asswhole, so my Uncle ripped the stud out of his ear and then ripped the check in halff and handed the keys of the brand new corvett to my cousins younger sister and then kicked my cousin out.

Seriously, my cousin had one rule to follow while and Europe and he fucked it up.

Moral of the storey, mom says no earing it means, no earing. Simple as that.

If your parents are putting food on the table, and you're under legal age, they have the right to say no to piercings. And fair enough too. I have been lucky enough for my parents to let me get my ears done.

I've been thinking about it and I only have to wait another year before I can get them done legally, and my mum even said once I'm the legal age, she isn't too bothered about them :)
I read the stories of the people who get their ears done and their parents go apeshit, I'm wanting snakebites and my ears plugged, so yeah, my mum would probably kick me out :P

look, if i wanted a piercing i'd get it done already and not spending time on my parents' approval.. i can tell for sure my parents won't just rip it off as they see me with it. it's my body after all so i should deal with any consequences that might come
