Im never cutting or burning myself ever again, make that never hurting myself intentionally ever again. That part of my life is OVER, all OVER. Im really happy that Ill never have to worry about that addiction ever again.

Im pretty sure Im keeping the scars though, so I can remeber what I did and what happened, and why Ill never do it again. Is that a good idea? My mom bought some vitamin E stuff to put on them to minimize it, but I dont think I want to use it. Maybe on my burn scars, they look like a skin disease lol!

Anyway, I dont think Ill post in this forum again, only because it might trigger me or whatever, I just dont want to fuck this up.

If anyone is struggling or wants to talk to someone, Ill be glad to help, Ive been there and now Im recovering, and I can honestly say this time that Im done and never want to do it again, and I dont want anyone else to have to deal with this shit anymore :)

Oh yeah. Celebrate with me.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I used to not do anything about scars because I always wanted to keep them as 'proof' or whatever to myself. However, they're also proof to everyone else so it just screws everything up and you have to hide it and yaddayadda. I've been pretty much successfull in hiding my first scars for three years now, but after I've started a bit again I kinda don't want even more stuff to hide so.. My new thing is to take pictures of the cut right after it's made. I know, I know, it sounds completely and utterly lame, but.. It kinda works. You have the proof to yourself there that you didn't just scrape the surface of your skin and you're not a crybaby that can't even cut properly, so you don't need the scar for that as much. Which again makes you more eager to make the scar lesser. I haven't had too much success in making the scars that much smaller yet, though, but whatever. All bandages that look good for that kinda stuff are so bloody expensive. I wanted to buy those strip things that keep the scar closed so that it heals to just a pretty thin line instead of the thick oblong "blob", but they were like "your soul" for a packet of five so.. Ah well.:whoops:

Yeah, just remember whenever you get the urge that hurting and blaming yourself won't solve anything

Ive never hid my scars, I dont really care what people think. Im pretty sure most people know I used to cut myself anyway. And I took pictures of my burns too, right after they turned really bad. You're not lame. I wanted to remember it.

Before I left you sounded so desperate, your attitude has changed so much in that fortnight. It's brilliant that you have stopped self harming!

Wanting to keep your scars as a reminder isn't rare. Maybe using the cream to make them a little less obvious would be a good idea. They won't be so obvious for people to take particular notice but they will be visible for you when you want a reminder.
