I've been extremely paranoid recently and I feel like if someone finds my profile, they could know immediately that it's me, and I'm just wondering if I can delete all my posts at once?

Unfortunately not. You may edit individual posts that you feel identify you. With 6 billion people in the world, though, it is very unlikely somebody you know will stumble across your profile here.

*7 billion and counting
You can't delete all your posts but like Jon said, you could delete them. But don't worry, sweetie, no one's gonna read every post on VT, it's highly unlikely anyone you know will stumble across you. Most people don't even know VT exists. But if it helps, just edit your posts, you're relatively new so that shouldn't be too hard :)

She means you could edit them. :P
Just make sure you aren't using your real name for your profile and it is a 1 in a million chance someone will ever figure out it's you! Just don't ever use names of people you know in life, either. And go back and edit them to make it better.

If you'd like, you can report posts or threads that you think identify you and ask for them to be deleted. Or you can just edit your posts to say "deleted", and maybe one of us will delete it someday.

Why cant we choose to delete our own posts?

They would have to know what your username is first of all. And if you don't tell anyone then problem solved.

The thing is, when I was modding, I was told not to, because some posts may be vital to the structure of some threads.

Deleting all of a one users' posts will fuck up a lot of threads. Imagine if all of my posts were deleted :P

Yes but could we not delete our own posts by us considering the worst that could happen would be some confusion, I mean global mods can delete threads. also I think its a good thing if everyone could delete there own post because some people like to keep there VT secret so if you have no evidance to link you to VT then theres not going to be any kind of issue.

You can edit the content out of posts, but if we allow them to be deleted we find that in debate threads for example, a user deletes all of their posts when they lose the debate to make the other person silly. It's too open to abuse.
You can report a post and ask a moderator to delete it, and they can use their discretion.

I know and I dont think I would ever have the problem that I just suggested because my friends know about my VT account so no issue there.
But wont everyone who sits and edits his or hers posts still make the thread look stupid?

They could just say "Removed for personal reasons" if they wanted to.
However, to remove a thread that you started, this I would not do.
