I dunno if this is in the right place but oh well,
Recently iv been getting a lot of symptoms of type 1 diabetes, and my mum wants me to go have a blood test, I was wondering if any drug use would come up in the test, and if she would find out or not?

Depends which drug and when the last time you took it was, but yes there will be traces possibly. But chances are they wont mention it unless its a large or dangerous amount.

I'm not exactly sure about this, but my first thoughts were that if they weren't testing for drug abuse, then they either wouldn't notice or wouldn't say anything? If they're testing for diabetes, why would they run drug tests? Just my thoughts, but I'm not a doctor.

something similar happened to me.. i went to a doctor one day as i have been having some blood pressure problems and stuff. doctor said i need to be done a blood test. i've been worried as i've been smoking weed the other week.. it came out that i had the amount of erythrocytes increased somehow, which i've heard can be the reason of smoking weed. nothing happened next, doctor just asked me if i caught cold and i said yes, though i was completely healthy :P

Normally they won't say anything. At your age in Canada, a doctor cannot disclose your information without your permission to anyone. I'm pretty sure it's the same back home too, though forgive me, it's been a few years. I wouldn't worry too much about it, they're going to be more concerned about your illness. Good luck!

No, they are checking for glucose levels, not drugs, but I would advise that you stop them because if they do not like what they get from the glucose checks they can run something called a "full panal" and that will let them know if you are on most things.

This.
A fasting blood glucose test will test for only one thing, the level of glucose in your blood stream.
You have nothing to worry about OP :)
