Yeah, I'm upset. This'll be the first thing my gtx260 probably won't crush in the three years I've had it.

q6600 G0 stepping overclocking to 2.8ghz with stock voltages.

It *should* make up for it but dont hold me to it, the game has been enhanced for multi-cores like the q6600 but there are faster quad chips like the i5s and i7s.

Building a whole new rig as soon as Ivy bridge is out (Apparently q4) and AMD 7000 series. Which is just apparently a dye shrink of the 6000 series.

AMD 7000 is a while off imo, these cards are supposed to last up to DX12 early 2013, the 7000 if thats what they will be called will be DX12 cards.

The ivy bridge will be very interesting indeed, Intel have basically reinvented the chip when it comes to that.

Yes, it will be very interesting. I didn't see anything about dx12 in amd 7000 series, just PCI-E 3.0 compliance and a 22nm dye shrink.

Nvidia 560TI might work for your price range.

I said Nvidia simply because you have an i3, they seem to have a slight performance advantage over an AMD similar spec card

I said no Nvidia due to the fact i have 0% trouble with playing on my ATI radeon card.old games and about 70 of my games are old and run good on a ATI Radeon but then again il have more money next year for top notch games

Avatar, Battlefield 3 has been optimized for Nvidia GPUs :) Just a heads up. So autoplay is correct, it would be best to get the 560ti
