I turned Macro on and it did this, so in my book I got it down. I'm not really going for anything professional.

Nice! I'd only suggest better lighting, or better yet- some natural light, it really helps. :)
I've always wondered, how do you start making one of those? Do you put something round in the middle and add rubber bands onto it?

I have no idea, I bought this. :P And yeah, natural light would be better, but it was like 3 AM so there was none. :P
