View Full Version : Two Princes

One day you smiled, and things were alright.
It was a fairy-tale story for us on a night.
Two princes fell of a man each their kind.
A kingdom was built, and love was defined.

A castle with towers was not quite a home,
So they left it for hours or days of their own,
With no dragon in sight, and no army to fear,
They walked through the kingdoms for all the long year.

Floral were rows that had guided their paths,
Through gardens of rosebuds and little bird baths.
They spoke many words, while saying nothing at all.
As each in their eyes were no tales that were tall.

Days grew to weeks and the weather grew cold,
Along with the winter came a twist quite untold.
The hours grew shorter as the sun stayed away,
Snow clouds would settle and make the day grey.

Through all of the kingdoms, the boys and the men,
The winter grew strong, it was for many the end.
Two princes still walked in a row with no flowers,
But one thorn was left, one prince died within hours.

No love in his heart, and no conscious in mind,
The other prince left but a rose to be kind.
Two kingdoms apart, two souls to be split,
One prince will walk, where the other's grave sits.
