I remember in 6th grade, the entire class hated me because they all thought it was gay. Really I was just starting puberty a little late. I was straight but I would get physically abused because everybody thought I was gay.
Now I'm in the 11th grade, and a couple of LGTB people at school and on the internet make fun of me because I'm straight.
I really don't get it. Has anybody else experienced this?

People are often afraid of what they do not understand, seeing that we cannot make heads or tails of a situation we guard ourselves to protect ourselves.
I have gone through this most of my life, I did not start pubert til I was about 14 years old and I am still going through it at age 19, it is soemthing that I just learned to deal and accept, I am sorry name, I think that the best thing for you to do is learn to role with the punches.
If you ever need to anyone to talk too I am always looking for a good conversation, my info is on my page, feel free to ask any questions.

What the hell? That's the first I've heard of anything like that. They should be ashamed being LGBT Members.

Like Robert mentioned, people fear the unknown, and would readily resent it with bullying and mockery.
By doing so makes them "normal".
By doing everyone else is doing gets them accepted, although it's a really childish thing to do, but that's school.
It's most important to stand your grounds, learn to accept as part of a growing process.
Reacting would just fuel their ego, and it's not going to help.
Dealing with it comes in different methods, you can try to ignore. Or speak to the more sensible ones.
Most of the time they react this way when in a group, but generally not that tough when they are alone.
Which approach you take depends on you.
But at all times remain calm and remember violence never solves any problems, it only fuels more unnecessary attention and reflects immerse immaturity.
Good Luck

Lol that's kind of funny. My gay friends do that all the time. Don't trip they're just pulling reverse bigotry kind of like how people use racial slurs against themselves to make the insults meaningless. Don't take things so seriously :)

I experienced the first part on 6th grade too. Unless that it wasn't because I hadn't start puberty yet, no one had, it was because I hung out with girls more often than guys. Also, it wasn't the people in my class, if they thought I was gay they took it pretty well, it was some stupid guys on the grade below who were my age... Anyway, I dealt with it and here I am.
Now, about that second part, that's pretty weird...
