I don't think any one country's music is better than another's, but I do love some UK artists like Damon Albarn and PJ Harvey.

Ehh, no. Britain's got it's own share of shit music too. I don't think you are seeing the musical gems that have come out of America, and only the mainstream shit. Both the UK and the US have some really good music, and some of the worst pieces of crap you'll ever hear.

I think thats a really big conclusion to jump to...
I do like some British artists/bands but there's also many American artists/bands that I like too. Also, music is a type of art. I don't believe you can just label some music as "better" than others just because you might not like it as much, it's all perception.

Disagree. I find music that comes from the USA is better than any other country. Even my country.

I would agree that because of america's size, laws and population it makes it so much easier for people to make music, so theres more of it. And more is better in the case that there is more variety. Therefore I say America has better music. Not to say that I don't like other countries music though.

well the uk had adele, jessie j and ed sheeran, but the us has more people so they have the ability to make more music, although both countries produce some shit

If you're comparing mainstream stuff, I can honestly say that British mainstream is on a whole other level of absolute crap than America.

I don't hear a difference between the two. Honestly, if you look at the track record of both countries from the past 40 or 50 years, they're tied. I listen to a lot of UK and US artists, but I don't think I could say which is better.

One side has Frank Sinatra, the other Tom Jones.
One side has Aerosmith, the other has Black Sabbath
I'm not really comparing these just stating that each country has some great stand out artists....
So how about one side has the Beatles and the other side has Megadeth? :P
