Toe Problem

Today i played 2 baseball games and shortly after the second game i felt a pinch on the right edge of my left toe. a series of small pinches continued after proceeded by some itching. i just want to know what may have caused this and how i can treat it (it is still happening from time to time throughout the rest of the day). Thanks.

It sounds like a pinched nerve, I would suggest applying a heat pad for a few min and take some tylenol.

Wouldn't he notice the toenail looked a bit funky?

An ingrown toenail would have presented with increasing pain over time, not an all-of-a-sudden pain, I would suggest he make an appointment with his GP.
