Hi, I already have the latest Java.

j
ava version "1.6.0_27"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_27-b07)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 20.2-b06, mixed mode, sharing)

But, neither Chrome or Firefox know it is there. So, what's going on? Java is not there in the plugin section of either of them.

Do you have OpenJDK?
I think that's what it's called, at least it is on SuSE...

I think that's what it's called, at least it is on SuSE...No, that's not the problem. OpenJDK is opensource and have problems with addonchat. I have it installed, and works with other applications, and this is why it is not working on addonchat, but on other stuff.

addonchat needs the sun Java(by Oracle), not the none-patent and Opensource ones. Distros are strict not to use propriety materials.

So, I have to install Java now, but I am too lazy now.

@Lady_Red
You need to install Java from the java site.

@TheMatrix
The strange thing is. I thought I have Java because I have Java Control Panel, but not Java itself.
