Not many of you really know me tht well but I love photography lol. It always starts of pretty cheap but slowy escalates into the hundreds and then thousands lol. All in all I got about 2500 pounds worth of stuff, yes I do have a lot of money :P I shoot with DSLRs (the ones you see all of the paprazi with) and it's so much fun. I've got Canon EOS 350D, Canon 17-40mm f/4 L, Canon 70-200mm f/4 L and Canon 580EX Speedlite. Might not sound like much but it aint cheap lol. I take pictures of anything that interests me really.
Ne way, here is some of my stuff:
1) This one was so flukey, my cousin was like 'David, show me your camera' so I just aimed it at him and fired, turned out really nice:

2) Street photography (bscialy street stuff is the style of the pictures and th editing performed on them)

3) Another steet pic

4) Street style again - he was some random guy juggling so I took a pic

5) Then he started messing about with some other random juggling

I really like the street photos.
They're may favourite as well, I really like the kind of 'rough' looking colours you get from the PhotoShop action I used on them.
And thanks as well Andy!

Why go for film cameras when digital is just as good these days?

Film Pros
Film requires a lot more skill, some people enjoy that fact
Film will always be better quality then digital, film 'resolution' is how many billions of particles of silver iodide you can fit in an inch
It is cheaper to print film photos, belive it or not, and you get to play with dangerous chemicals :D
A manual SLR body is a lot cheaer than a digital one
Film cons
There is a limit to what you can do to the photos
Because of the skill required, some people just cba to learn it
You can't take 300 pictures, go through them on the screen on the camera and delete the ones you don't like
Digital is just becoming the trend now, film is slowly becoming 'out of fasion'
Hope that clears some stuff up for you Andy :p

you're good, very good.
the first picture especially.
congrats.
as for looking at what you said about film vs digi.
i'll always be a film man, but unfortunaly technology has forced me to catch up.
oh and film is more expensive to print with then digital.
by 500 sheets of digital paper so so much more cheaper then buying the developer, the fix, light sensative paper, an enlarger, hell building a dark room.
if you've got everything provided for you and you only pay for the paper then film paper is cheaper because there is more market for digi paper, more people want it so are willing to pay higher prices. gotta love the economy.

The paper and everything is cheap, but ink costs a small fortune! For out printer a black cartridge costs about £30! ($60) But my step-dad's work pays for the ink so all is good xD

Cheers. Our school has just built a £30,000 brand new dark room, with about 8 enlargers I think (not too sure which size / models) and they're going to be recieving a kind of 'permanent grant' from the government to re-stock it with paper / chemicals so hopefully in a year or so time I'll be able to just get any film pictures printed for free when I take Photography for one of my A levels :D

I showed some of your fotos to my teacher teaching fotography...he said its quite nice. Good work. But not all nice fotos must be taken by a SLR camera...its about the skills. I currently own a Powershot(A80)-a old model but still can take great shots like fireworks...
