View Full Version : Puberty Phorum Problems?

Ok, as we all know we get a lot of members from the puberty forum. But there isn't enough restrictions and reminders in here.

My question is this: has the 'please don't post in topics more than 2 months old' rule been abolished? There's about 4 new members that are doing this and my problem is there is no modding being done in the puberty forum without me having to PM a mod.
I'm lost, do we have to PM the mods or do the mods monitor the forum and look for things that this?

if you would wish, i would be more than happy to give up my job to you. because quite honestly i cant stand the puberty forums... i like havening the pleasures of knowing whats going on in the mod forum and having a decent say in what happens but i just feel i cannot do my job as well as i think you could.

Zach, Donnie, I think you should get my position...but this is all up to the admins of course.

Doug I think you do a really great job, and would be sad to see you leave it. I would love to see you stay on, but if you don't want to it's understandable because Puberty101 are hard forums to mod.

We need strict mods, you can't be wishy-washy. You have to be very strict. I think we need more mods there also.

BOO!
No one likes a push over.
Doug is/was always doing fine.
Just let the kids learn, they won't come back after their question is answered anyways.

Ok, I didn't ask anybody to give up their job. I just asked why nothing was getting locked and if the rule was still in effect. Not one of you has answered my question and I'm not going to let people just skip over this thread and see be shocked at Doug's post. This doesn't need to stray into another topic, guys; I'd just like my questions answered. :|

I strongly disagree with this

Bobby, don't think I can't get my point across *laughs*

Zach, I don't doubt you.

And to answer your question: Yes, the rule was abolished by Josh.

Even though I may not be the biggest Donnie/Zach fan, he WOULD be a good mod...
He's active and assertive.

Also, why would you disagree with my quote. We have like 3000 members and only 200 active ones! I'd say some of them never came back!!

Oh don't worry I'm not trying to challange you, it's just some of them do stay awhile and it's quite nice. Some don't ever, but when it's an advice-specific forum, some people just come for the help and not the community.

I don't understand why you strongly disagree then? :(

The phrase 'they won't come back', which I took as every one of them. This makes me feel like the puberty forum is only a pool of posts are meaningless and don't help anybody. In my opinion, the terms shouldn't be thrown around as easily.

I would just delete the necros and make a stickie/announcment which would contain this:

YOUR PENIS IS NORMAL! COMPLETLY NORMAL, UNLESS YOUR PENIS MUTATED, DEFORMED OR SO SMALL THAT YOU CANT WRAP YOUR PINKIE AROUND IT, THEN DO NOT MAKE A TOPIC ASKING ABOUT YOUR PENIS SIZE

That would solve alot of problems xD

I disagree with this
I don't think that would really help at all and it certainly won't get posted.
Plus, what does that have to do with my question!? Lol

See most of the new useless posts come from these people who wonder if their penis is normal

The necro posting comes from idiots with nothing better to do, or those who just cant make a new post, or have some kind of problem not being able to see the date last posted or being unable not to click the reply button

The puberty forums are there to help people, so what if they ask one question and leave? The forum has served its purpose. And on the other hand lots of members stay, and ask more questions etc.

That's not going to happen for a long time.

90% of the questions asked can/could be answered in the puberty FAQ section, but kids are lazy and impatient...so, really what's its use?

I'm not trying to exploit certain members, but this still shouldn't turn into a whole thread of 'let's bully the puberty forum'.

I'd like to verify that the rule has been abolished. Has it really? That seems weird and I don't think it was that good of a desicion.

Ok as far as bringing back old threads is concerned, I wouldn't say we have a rule as such, but more of a guideline. If the thread brought back is relevant or whatever then it should allowed, however threads that have been well and truely answered and long dead should be locked. Thats how I treat them.

Just like to add as well, that we have decided to add Andy (rok.my.sox) as a puberty mod. Good luck Andy!
