Im 16. almost 17 and i have not had a growth spurt yet. no armpit hair. and just a little pubes at the base. im worried, but my brother hit puberty at 15/16 and was taller than i am right now. i dont know what to do, is there some sort of food i should eat or something? any tips? even though i just have a little pubes does that mean i am going to hit puberty or could i still be unable?
Thanks for the tips

hmmn. sounds like it's hit u pretty late. i'm sure it'll come soon though. has ur voice broken? might be worth just asking ur doctor when u next see him about why. have u got pubes at all? bcos some people never grow much armpit hair.

Talk to a doctor, seems kinda weird. It's average for someone that's 16 to be in Stage 5 by your age.

Seem like a late bloomer... Like, really late. Don't worry, but I'd be surprised if nothing new happened in the next 4-6 months... But do what they suggested before me, see a doctor, just to be sure!

It's better to be embarrassed, then, to find out you have problems in the future. Just saying.

I know kids who are 16/17 and still have not or just started outward signs of puberty. I;d say give it a bit, next time you're at the doctor for a physical or something you could mention it, but I wouldnt go just for this yet.

Well it seems to me that you're starting pubert pretty late because the average boy starts between 9 and 14 years old. But if you dou have pubes, then you've already started and just need to wait. Or you could talk to your doctor. None of us here really know about this.

I've met guys that hadn't even develloped any armpit hair until they were 17.
Extraordinary cases, sure, but this shows that exceptions are always possible.
Puberty is different for every individual, and it is an individual process with no guidelines of exactly how to get through it.
All I can say is that when you're 21, you're fully grown.
Up until that moment, anything (short of a complete miracle) can happen. Just wait it out. You're still fairly young.
I am sure things will be perfectly fine in due time.
Patience, my friend.

Most sincerely,
Robert.

you sound like a late bloomer, if you don't start soon see your physician.
