Is This Self-Harm?

Uhm...I...I don't...Wanna offend anybody on here, so I'm sorry if i do,
But uhm, A few days ago i started digging my nails into any part of my body i can, with hopes of breaking skin, Whenever i am upset, I kno i can't cut, I would get into to much trouble, and plus i have no way to get a blade, So i resort to this,

So yea, My question is, Would you refer to this as self harm?

I think it counts as self harm. It causes pain, it may not be scars or heaps of blood...But it is still self harm.

Yes, it is. And if you can't cut, you can't do this.. It will leave some scars.. So if people see them, "you would get into to much trouble".

And as Weeping said, stop before it gets worse. You may not think it will, but trust me.. it will..

Yeah. It is. Self harm is classified as any pain that is purposefully caused to one's self with the intention to hurt.

A common misconception is that cutting is the only form of SH. It's not, as previously stated any form of harm that you would be inflicting on yourself would be self harm.

Sounds like self-harm to me!! Maybe you should talk to you parents about whats bothering you so much, maybe you can see a shrink or the school psycologist at first anyway. Must talk about your feelings!
