It really depends. I am catholic and if my husband was Islamic, Jewish, or any other form of Christianity I'd might consider changing because those beliefs aren't far from my own. if it was something like Buddhism or Hinduism, I'd be more reluctant to change. If i don't change at all, i'd blend our customs and teachings and bring our children up on both ideas.

I don't think you should ever change yourself for anybody but yourself, and being willing to change your opinion on the ultimate nature of the universe and existence just to maintain a relationship with someone speaks volumes of your character and how trivial those beliefs are in the first place.

No I wouldn't. and my future husband would understand that, and will respect what I believe, and I'll respect what he believes

Well if you are a true believer in anything then you can't just 'change' that. If you are Christian you cant just suddenly be Buddhist. I think that different religions can marry, and when children come along, they can be taught in both sides.

I don't see the point in changing your religion because of marriage. If you don't believe in god, you don't believe in god. Give a person a cross and they may not be christian. Make a person dress according to Islam and they may not be muslim. Give someone a temple and they may not be buddhist. Take away their altar and they may not be atheist.
We believe what we believe. I don't see why religion is such a big OMG. It's like forcing someone to like blue because green is a bad and the "wrong" colour and not really a colour.
So my husband eats cows, I'm never eating a cow. Sucks to be him.

I don't believe in marriage anyway, but if I did, I wouldn't change for anyone.

Thats actually really sexist. To change your religion just so that she will make you a sandwich? C'mon

No because if they asked to marry me, they better love me for me.
