It's really annoying.
I'm a very computer person (:yeah:) so I call stores and places often to know if they have a certain computer part I might need for this certain computer I'm building (my own, finally!!!).
However, every time I call, I obviously get put on hold. Then when the person comes back to the line with an answer, they'd usually say "Ma'am?" and I reply "Yes..." "Yes ma'am we have the power supply in stock". It's really, really, annoying. They even answer sometimes dumb answers, because they're thinking "What is this girl doing outside of the kitchen?" or some other idiotic complaint.
Another fine example of my annoying voice is craigslist. I was selling my old Philips portable DVD player, and the couple buying it for their kid called me to ask me a few questions. They didn't say ma'am or anything. So, they come by my house to pick it up. When they see me, the girl goes "OMG, I thought it was a girl!" Immediately, I was . I was about to kick her  and throw her outside my house. The guy didn't say anything though. All the time she was at my house looking at the DVD player, she just complained and complained about my voice. Mind you, this was 2 years ago, and it still goes on today, like the example above.
Most of the time, it just happens on the phone.
Anyway, thanks for reading.
Hey man, regardless of ur voice trouble, which i am sure it will pass once u go thorugh the voice change then it will go deep and u will never be called ma'm (unless u want to..;-)) anyhow I really enjoyed reading ur post, u have a talent for story telling, ( I couldnt stop laughing imagining u kicking the annoying girl out ur house and telling her: u cant have the &^%$$^* DVD player!!! ;-)) U should write a blog

I wouldn't worry about it, I'm coming up towards the end of being a teenager and my voice isn't particularly as deep as a lot of guys. It can happen at any age and chances are you're just a late bloomer. Don't worry about it :)

I guess so. My brother had the same issue, except he wasn't growing like physically upwards. All his friends were taller than him by almost a foot. It took so long for that spurt" to hit him, but he did manage to finally grow. He's 5 years ahead of me.
Anyway, I believe this is a genetic thing then.

Oh i don't get that alot but it dose happen to me sometimes and it dose get me sometimes but i just ignore it and or try to correct them in a polite way but as you grow up your voice will change and it might then solve the problem of people mistaking you for a girl.

I agree, you're still 13 and you've got time for it. Some people are late bloomers.
I remember seeing at my school a little guy who looked like a kid and his friend who was tall and more developed (and hot, hehe). They are 14-15.
Look for the positive things, you can hit high notes while singing for example. I have a quite low voice, although I've gotten compliments; Some classmates said I've got a radio voice.

My boyfriend is like that, he ignores people who make fun of his voice. Eventually it will go deeper.

Don't worry, I know it sucks but your voice will get deeper. I had the same problem. I watched as the voices of all my friends ot deeper, but I still talked and samg like a girl. I was always mistaken for my mom on the phone. Even though I staarted late, it still happened. My voice started changing at 14 and now at 15 my voice is like an octave and a half lower. Just hang in there.
