Hey guys.
I have been hearing recently in the media a fair bit about sagging.
That is when someone (normally male) wears there pants low showing the top of there underwear.
Some people debate that this is indecent exposure and should be illegal, while others say even if you don't like the fashion you shouldn't make it punishable.
Which opinion do you believe in, and what are your personal views on sagging?

Mine: I believe it shouldn't be pubishable. There still fully clothed, if they were showing half a naked ass then I would have a different opinion as that just has no place in public, but showing off your underwear, while probably pointless, is fine and actually quite hot :D
While personly I don't sag to a massive extent, prettymuch everyone here between 10 and 25 do.
The people who are against this are mostly older people who had different fasions as youths that the older people if their time probably were against. (mini skirts in the 1960s cone to mind)

All the different generations have to live together, and to do that means you may be offended by someones behavior, but if it's not hurting anyone then you shouldn't make a fuss.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts

Around my area it wass only populkar for a month then died out really quickly

While I think it is OKAY I do feel a there is a line and time and place

it falls down to this

Some people only show the top part of there underwear some almost show there ass (not naked but show there ass via underwear)

Then there is the place: Some people wear themselves like this going into restraunt and buisnesses and public mass places therfore some people do find it a bit bad

let them wear what they like though, it's not like it's really affecting anybody in any way.

Okay the first on the left is acceptable but the other two, no. I find excessive sagging to be anoying, it makess the sagger easier and more proned to falling and hurting other people and they normally can't run while sagging.

I have no strong views on how people should wear their clothes.

No one here has actually explained specifically why it is a problem or bothers them.

I really don't care. Although I do like asking them if they know where sagging originated.

Then telling them it originated in prison to signify someone is "available" to have sex with, and sagging represents you're the catcher.

Most people know that. It's not relevant as they're not in prison. Do you walk up to someone driving a Volkswagen Beetle and tell them that Hitler claimed he designed it? No. We're not in Nazi Germany and Hitler is dead.

To say you don't care when you admit that your directly confront people to ask them a crude question seems bizarre - surely if you were not bothered you would just leave them to it?

I like to think I would take a kinder approach and simply ignore it, even if it did bother me. This way everyone is happier, right? Unfortunately in the past I may have done something similar to you and confronted them about it, but in reality it's only going to result in negative feelings and an attempted ego boost which isn't the way I'd like to live.

This.

Really, why people give so much of a fuck that it has to be illegal is beyond my comprehension. It's another kind of "society vs. the individual" thing.

I don't think it should be made illegal, but I do think sagging to any extent makes you look like an uneducated buffoon and a prison bitch. That's how the trend got started: Prison bitches. Why anybody would aspire to mimic that look is beyond me.

Its up to the person, how they wish to wear their pants, but I don't, because I don't want people to see my ass crack.

Well, personally, I think it makes you look stupid. But hey, if people think it's cool, sure. Take off your pants and walk in your boxers if that's what you want. As long as you don't pull my pants, I'm good.

I don't think it should be made illegal at all, thats insane. And to Murdoc, some people think that it is unprofessional and sloppy looking. I agree, and think it makes you look like an idiot, but that is the persons choice.

I HATE it...it looks freaking stupid not to mention unprofessional and now (thankfully) its illegal here in ga you can (and probably will) get a citation for it.

I dont think it should be illegal, if you make it illegal for looking bad then also make stripes and polkadots illegal to be worn together.

Annoying, makes you look like a ghetto jackass. My problem with it is that people who sag sit on everything; desks, tables, etc. I don't want your ass over everything I touch, its gross. Pull your damn pants up.

All I can say is I\ don't care to see there underwear. where I live, people let it sag down to there knees. No one wants to see your underwear and its just annoying to look at.

In prison, men tended/tend to have sexual relations with each other since female companionship is lacking. One way men "showed interest" in relations was to sag their pants, letting other men know they were willing. So, basically, its root stems from a request for gay male sex in prison

And thats why i think it is dumb... because what goes in prisons should stay in prisons.

I sort of agree. If it was really a prison thing, but the people who did it in prison (had sex) were unwilling, then I don't think it is their fault, and you can't look at it just by this fact.

But also, it makes you look like an unprofessional jackass, but if that is how someone wants to be viewed, then to each is own, and just pay no attention to it.
