View Full Version : My Little Red Bag,..

My question to all those who self harm and use 'instruments':
Where do you hide them?
Personally, i use blades and hide them in a little red bag, in a little read box. It's weird, but i think it's one of my little 'rituals'... to keep my blades in the bag, on top of bloody tissues, in the box, hidden in my cupboard.
I keep it VERY out of reach... partly so people don't stumble upon it, but also to make it less tangible so i don't have my blades 'on hand'... trying to cut down on cutting.
What about you guys?

In my opinion, try hiding them on a top shelf.

I don't bother...Haha. No one comes into my room and if they do they deal with what they see, they shouldn't have been in my room.
I leave my blades laying around, on the floor, on my desk, beside table...My bloody tissues i either put in a bag or i just leave them around my room. LOL

I use knives.. I have a few that I love and I keep them amm over.. I carry one to school, and keep the rest in various places in my room, in hard to find spots. That way if one is found, not all will be. I have them in 'trickier' placies.. one in a stuffed animal, etc. And one in my locker at school always for safekeeping.

I used to cut with a pen knife thats kept in a small pouch(not sure what to call it). Now I use pencil sharpener blades and I just keep them all together in the pouch and it's with me all the time. At night I'ts just next to my bed or under my pillow near bloody tissues.

I keep it in a little card section in my purse. That way no one will ever find it as it's always on my person. It's only a small blade so it fits perfectly.

I keep mine in a little box in a draw in next to my bed. It's painted with a bunch of different nail polishes. I also keep one in the back of my phone.

I don't have mine anymore, my therapist thought it would be a brilliant way to help me stop. All it did was make me extremely frustrated and angry. I used to hide it in my 'special' box that had a lock, nobody ever went into it cos I keep the key in the back of my pencil case. I would have hidden it in the back of my phone but it was to big.

I keep my razor in a binder that has all my piano sheet music in it. My knife is under my mattress. My pencil sharpener blade is on my nighstand under my lamp.

I made a little pouch/holder out of a 3"x8" piece of paper towel. I hold it together with tape and it fits perfectly next to my tv hidden between the tv and my surge protector. I've just been using a rag and usually put it wherever thats out of sight.

I have one inside my purse, one taped to the back of my phone battery and one tucked into my favourite book.

I used to have pieces of glass a blade, a pair scissors, some bloody tissues and I remember a piece of paper with blood smeared on it, this was hidden inside my guitar case. Then I moved it all to this bag I have in my closet. Now they are probably in a bag under my bed since I really don't want to throw them away.

I use a shaving razor, and no one knows. So I don't need to hide it. I just leave it in the bathroom (after I clean off the blood) and no one suspects a thing...
I've been trying to find a pencil sharpener blade, but its hard to find those nowadays with mechanical pencils everywhere. Maybe that's a good thing, though.

I keep all my harmful things in a small black box. No one goes in my room, so I don't worry about anyone finding it.

I keep them in plain sight when I have them. Parents don't question it, just say I'm using it for work.

I just use scissors and wipe the blood off after. it doesnt raise suspicion. I never cut in public.

I kept it under my bed. Then my mom found it, and I tried to lie and say I must have dropped it when I was eating dinner in my room. diary and knew the truth.)
Then I switched to smaller things...I kept it in a little ceramic box that holds some hair stuff that my aunt got for me. On top of that, I had some little pottery things I made, so I would know if it had been messed with... I kept it in there for probably two years until I threw it away a few months ago.
I kept it for about a year and a half after I quit, though, as security.

I hid my tools in drawers in my room.
Then my glasses case in my locker...but then the principle warned me that if they saw it again, I'd be expelled, so I left it at home. I keep it in my purse now.

In a small packet, it came in, hiding in the bottom of my pencil case. Or if I don't have it, they are used ta my work so I can get mine there, but I usually don't, as I'm trying to stop.

My blade is in the bottom drawer of my sink. Me and my brother share a bathroom and that is MY drawer, no one else goes in it, no one needs to. I just drop it in there and throw a few things on top of it.

2 in my purse - that I ALWAYS have on me.
5 or 6 - maybe more, in my draw.
Parents don't go through my room/purse so I know they're safe. 'Cause it's the whole " I wouldn't expect you to do it, so we wont either" kinda thing.

I like to take things apart so theres always bits and pieces of disassembled stuff everywhere, I do arts and crafts sometimes so x-acto knives just lay everywhere, blades sitting on my bookshelf. I've been intentionally conditioning my mom to be used to my room like this. I always keep something sharp in my empty braces wax container. I also threaded a piece of sharp metal to a necklace that I wear 24/7 so no matter what I have it right with me. Tiny flathead screwdrivers and various other sharp tools are all over my floor.

i keep one in the back of my fone, but i hav a small heart attack everytime i drop my fone praying the back doesnt fall off and one tucked away in one of my books and one on top of my ceiling fan thats no longer connected to electricity and a bunch of extra in our tool box no one questions it cause razor box-cutter replacments technically belong there
