Helping friend!

I'm a SHer...
I have scars on me that I don't bother with hiding at school any more because it's very hot...
My friend has scars and i know she is still doing it, i've tried talking to her about it but she's really closed up because she never really talks to anyone about herself truthfully and how she is truly feeling...
Her other friend just ignores it and pretends it isn't there and doesn't care about it.
I have a feeling she wants to talk about it, because there are times where I've seen her arms and she has let her sleeves slip up so that only i can see her arms. But at the same time, she doesn't? Much like myself.
I really think that talking about her SH may help her, and cause I understand as I was kinda in her situation too.
What ways can I just get her to talk about it?
Not in an encouraging way though, I tried to ask for a reason but to no avail.
I just need to know of any way there is to encourage her to talk about her feelings/SH?

Well for me my friend didn't know how to approach me about it. I didn't want to talk about it because it was a very touchy subject. She eventually sat me down wrapped me in a hug and asked me if I wanted to talk about it. It really helped me know that she was there for me.
What helps me talk about it is just knowing that she really cares about me. Maybe you could do something similar? If not try doing something she enjoys with her, and bring it up randomly.

She should have more pleasure in life because it can be so much better...

True, I was like that at first as well. I didn't want to admit that I had a problem either. I don't like admitting my problems haha. Show her you care. It basically took my friend to scream it in my face, but I eventually got the message.

Today was a really hard day for me, she got my messages on facebook...and kinda understood a bit more.
She did open up to me a little, which is great i think, progress... She tried to say she wasn't cutting any more, but I know that's a lie.... :(
At recess, I was about to go and cut(i take my bag with me when i am going to), she picked up on it straight away, and tried to stop me, she held my bag and we had a wrestling match for about 5 minutes...until her and my other friend(who also SHs) searched through my bag and took all of my blades. This left me helpless and irritated that they did that....
I went to her art class(i don't have art as an elective, i'm bad :P). I tried to steal scissors but she stopped that as well... :(
We ended up chasing each other around the art room(me on the tables and her on the ground)...She put white paint all over my face and neck, hahaha...I got her back and put it all over her face and her hair though,
Was fun.
But then I got bullied at lunch(something with my ex gf). Also my ex kept coming up and trying to talk to me...I just ignored her and it felt ****...
I begged for my blades back but they wouldn't give them to me.
Second last period i found a staple on the ground in english class and i cut during class under the table, not really bothering to hide it that much because i was desperate just to cut... 4 med deep cuts on my right hand.
Then i lost my staple! I cant believe it! I was walking to last period, i saw my friend and then i lost it!! :(((((
So angry and frustrated...
Then in last period i was too lazy to pull my leg warmers and stuff up so this girl who used to cut saw and she was staring... lol... ermm yea....
Cause i couldnt wear pants cause all my clothes are dirty and my school pants were still wet from washing... :( :P my jumper too hehe
so i wore black and white striped arm and leg warmers...but they only go up past elbow and just past knee..so you can still see heaps.. :O

Anyways...shitty bus ride...some kid pushed me and i screamed at him and he told me to go cut myself..so i was jjust like, **** you... that's what ill do tonight because of you...:(

and so now i am here...192 freshies :(
