Good day,

I could use some assistance. My senior prom (i am in grad 12) is fast approaching and I have yet to find a date. I do have a girl in mind a friend of mine. Her and I work at the same place. However I am unsure as how to ask her. If I ask her and she says yes not really a problem(other than my noobness at dates)(this will be my first). My problem lies in if she says no. Then the awkwardness could be bad. Any ideas on how I should ask.

Honestly say what you want! "Hey [insert girls name here] wannna go to prom?" If she says yes then great! If she says no she has a date already say "alright well have a good time." Just make it short and sweet! No other complications necessary.

It's not the end of the world if she says no. Happens to everyone and don't let it hold you back. Be a good sport about her saying no and you'll have no problems. You never know until you try.

i'm 13 so i'm not going to pretend i know what your going through, but i will say this. maybe you could try and find out if she is already going with someone. Possibly by dropping some subtle hints to her or maybe ask her friends or something like that. at least that way when you ask her, you won't be asking someone who has already got a partner and that way you know that "yes" is an option for her when you ask. hope this helps!!!

Don't waste your times with hints. Yeah, it would help to know if she has a date already but only ask people you trust because people love to gossip!

Well that went both according to plan and at the same time against the plan. The plan was to ask for her advice. The question was how to ask a girl to prom. In this conversation I would find out when her prom was (she goes to a different school). If her prom was a different night I would then reveal to her that She was the girl I was planning to ask. I would then ask her. It all went according to plan. Until I found out that her prom was the same night as mine. ARGGHHH! Oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained. "Even the best laid plans of mice and men are often led astray." Thank you again for your help gentleman ( or gentle ladies).
