Ok i'm 15(Just)and i live in Glasgow Scotland[It is hard to get a job that pays good unless you are either really lucky or very smart and get good grades] and my grades go 1 being the best and 7 being the worse, well i would be 3-4 making it up to 2-3 and hopefully 1 but not becuase i'm not smart it's becuase i am was lazy and missed a lot of work from being late and absent which led to being put down into a "dumber class".

Now i'm only 15 i don't know how this all works yet but my dream- To live in New York in an office job like in the show "The American Office" and hopefully with something to do with computer science i know its not like the show obv buti mean the close to your workmates ect
I don't know how i can get a job in here or the US becuase you would need money from a job here to pay for flight and a house(or i can rent?) but is there anything else i would need to do?

What exactly is an american visa and how can i get it

i dont know about cop i was thinking something im learning(computer science job) i heard i can get a collage course in the usa... how?

When i get to New York i am going to the Statue Of Liberty, The top of the Empire State building and on top of the highest tower of the new World Trade Centre becuase they are the things that i think about when i think of New York, not to mention the awesome American voices, grid like city, buetyfull lights in the night time and much more

and i mean anywhere in NY
So please the comments like "not got a chance" "too much money" ect

None of those touristy things are really all that cool...Empire State Building All you do is wait in like for 2 hours(on a good day) to pay to go to the top of a building...Statue of Liberty isn't all that cool either.

Oh and I get to work as an office boy part time for a small company and it's really not all that cool or fun. it pretty much sucks..like Office Space.

Hi I live in Scotland so I am familiar with the Scottish education system. Can I ask what are your intentions. do you intend to stay on at school for highers and adv higher or are you just going to leave school straight after you finish your standard grades.

If you dont want to discuss it here you can leave me a visitors message but as you cant send PMs it would be best to dicuss it here

Well staying on until 6th year would help a chance for some int2's (depending on your SG results) and or maybe highers.

College yes that would help, or atleast it can hurt can it?

Also bare in mind both the UK and the USA economy is not very good remember this.

So I think you should try and see how this go's for now.

What subjects have you taken and if you dont mind me asking what was your 3rd year exam results --->(you dont have to answer this if you dont want to)

Well I say do your 4th year prelims first and then make up your mind because they will give you a huge insight. because 3rd year exams are important but they dont give you much insight.

I suggest also that you choose carefully when you do subject choice in 5th year.

Also well done with computing at a 2 I got a 1 at computing in my final exam it was hard but I did it.

Yes but again computers advance every day.

statistics show by the time we finish full time education. and 2-6 years there will be over 100 new job positions that need filling as they do not exist today.

I would try doing computer programing aswell its not easy but it can always come in use
