Excuse me if this has already been posted; I checked and I didn't see anything. Anyway, too the point. I've noticed that Ant pays all the bills (at least, last time I checked he did - was it changed?), and so I was wondering if there were any thoughts of adding advertisements to the website. I honestly wouldn't mind a few here and there but I do like the initiative that Ant has to keep it ad free.

I understand that Ant -can- pay all the bills, but maybe it would be nice if he didn't have to. Also, it might be nice for the fact that there might be an upgrade or addition to the site we want, but can't get it due to money issues. *Shrug* Just my two cents.

This is true, and while they are annoying (is that what you mean by trashy?) I don't see the need for him to pay. I believe the costs are from $100-200 a month? I may be way off, but seeing as how that's slightly expensive for a teenager/early twenty year old, I thought it might be nice. I'd be more than happy to have him pay for it so we can stay ad free, but I'm merely thinking of him.

I'm sure that if the cost bothered him he wouldn't pay, honestly. No one is forcing him to pay the bills and it's merely by choice that he is doing so. He, along with 99 percent of us, dislike ads and wishes the site to stay pretty.

He chose to take on financial responsibility as well as refused to pass it up when he retired.
He was against ads, and is still against ads. Bottom line- he wouldn't pay for something he didn't want or wasn't needed for the site.
He doesn't want ads, he won't let them on the site.

While it's a good idea, ads often use scans based on text within the site to appropriately place ads. Well, VT talks a lot about penis, masturbation, and pornography thanks to P101. So, yeah- no.

The site would be cheaper for Ant but, If he couldn't or didn't want to pay the bills, i'm sure he would of put up ads
