Either do what others have suggested, or talk to her about it...Yeah, it may seem awkward at first, but in the long run it is better to talk about things you want to try out rather than just trying to do it and freaking them out. If you just go with it, sometimes us girls freak out and just go along with it even though we don't really want to; I guess sometimes we're too afraid to say no, or are unsure of what we want. So perhaps talk about it first and give her some time to think instead of just rushing into it? Also let her know that there is nothing to be worried about, and it isn't as bad/scary as some people portay it to be. :)
