I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this but here i go.

Is the death penalty right? I say no. I was discussing this with some friends at school to day and I say intentionally killing someone is murder, whether or not the deserved it. According to my faith (Christianity) it is god's job to judge not ours. I say the death penalty is morally wrong?
What do you guys think?

There's a thread exactly like this not too far from the top.

I believe that if we did not have the death penalty ( we actually do not in canada) the murder rate would increase increadibly. I believe if we want to lower it even more we should drag the murderers in front of a crowd and publicy execute them. Make them suffer before the crowd. Let's see how many people want to go out and kill or commit a crime then. I may be called a pessimist or cynical but I am a realist.
P.s. I do not believe in God. I find him a waste of time. As for morals, did the criminal use them while slaughtering someone? No? Then I feel no need to use them at his death. Good day to you.
