View Full Version : School is so triggering

School started today. I was hopeful that things would be different this year, but it started off the same as it always has. The girls who have been bitches to me since middle school treat me the same way, but it's gets worse every year. Last year they spread a rumor that I forced a guy to have sex with me and people believed it! For 3 weeks I couldn't walk through the hall without someone calling me a slut or bitch. I don't even want to know what this year will be like. I came home and cut myself. A lot. I feel like such a failure :(

:| That's horrible. You should tell your administration to try and get some sort of help. You're not a failure. I left big schools for this reason

I would be more likely to feel like cutting them. I have a rather violent mind set you could transfer while the year is young or tell them to go fuck themselves with a chainsaw. Telling a teacher could also work though.

I can't transfer. I've already been begging my parents for years. I'm not close to any of my teachers. Would it matter which one I tell?

No Rachel, it doesn't matter which one you tell. From my experience English teachers seem to be a lot more sympathetic to these types of things. You could also ask to go down to your guidance counselor's office. I'd suggest the guidance counselor, since they usually have a closed office.
*Edit*
If you're going to tell them about the self-Injuring, remember they're required by law to tell your parents, but this could be a good thing so you could finally get some help. Before things get worse :)

If I talk to a counselor, I'll have to wait a while. We have 1 per grade and they're really busy at the beginning of the year. If things get as bad as they did last year, I'll mention it to a teacher and see if they can get me an appointment with a counselor.

Good Rachel. Good luck with this. I wish you the best, I'm always here to talk if you want. I've been through it before :) Just send me a PM if you want.

Same here. School is the worst for me. Started cutting the week after school started.
Hoping to stop soon...not looking bright.

I don't know where you live, but here they aren't required to tell your parents. I think it varies state-to-state and country-to-country. I told my counselor and she told me she didn't have to tell unless I was suicidal or planning to hurt someone.
Anyway, telling a teacher is a good idea. Those girls have no right to treat you like that.

I'm sorry to hear that, hun :( *hugs*
Well, if it helps, you're most deifinately not alone in this. These girls in my grade spread rumours about me all the time to the point where I just block them out. Try ignoring them. If that's hard, then maybe you should talk to a school counselor or maybe your parents? Because the administration should suspend bullies and if it gets bad enough, the could get expelled.
Good luck :)
