Hey all, mom's going to take me clothes shopping sometime soon as a reward for helping her around the house quite a bit.
I'm planning on getting new shirts, new bottoms, new underwear, and possibly a new pair of shoes. Basically, everything I guess. :P
I was wondering what kind of clothes I should get. I don't really know what brands to get or not get. I'm kinda on the overweight side, so I guess skinny jeans and all that stuff is a no-no for me. Like, when I got clothes last year, I got some collared shirts and jeans from JCPenny's.
This year, I'm thinking about getting a collared shirt or two, some regular shirts, get a pair of jeans, along with some shorts, and of course, undergarments. I just don't know what brands to get. I don't want anything that like, the popular peeps wear, but I don't want to like, look all dressy and stuff. I feel like I want more relaxed stuff. :P
Oh yeah, also... I plan on starting swimming soon, like in the family pool, doing laps and such. What kind of swimsuit and brand should I get?
Thanks in advance! :D
(I hope this made sense :P)

In my opinion.. Look around for stuff that you like, try them, and buy it if it fit you, feels good and is affordable, I guess.
I don't even know what brands you have over there, lol, and I think you shouldn't care too much about it eighter, just get whatever you like.

I agree with Weeping, you should try out some different things at various stores.

Maybe try the mall- I know you said you didn't want brand-name "popular" stuff but stores like American Eagle, Abercrombie, and Hollister do make some nice quality clothes without the name or logo plastered on them. There's also Target, Kohls, Old Navy...

Have fun, hope you find some nice things. :]

Hmm, lemme think.
In these days, colorful pants are popular.
You can get a slim fit green pants and a blue sneakers.
Then, you gotta wear a hoodie (i recommend hollister if u r in usa)
And finally, some fake wayfarer optical glasses if u want.
There u go. You're totally ready now.

Black skinnies? White skinnies. I tend to wear one-colours everyday (black shoes, skinnies, top and hoodie/blazer/something) So you could try with that. Go for your favourite colour in clothing and buy some in that colour.

Are you sitting down? Good. You need to be sat down.

Every wardrobe needs a foundation, just like buildings and trust, wardrobes need to have a basic collection of clothes which form the base.

You should have, three plain white tees, two black tees, and one of every other colour you think goes well with your skin tone, you need a pair of jeans and a pair of skinny jeans. These are essential, now moving onto the layers, you probably should get two cardigans one baggy the other a good fit, you should have a light coloured shirt (light blue, pink or white) and maybe a shirt you think is nice. You should have two jackets, and a coat (I'd suggest a peacoat, duffel coat or millitary jacket), I suggest having a pair of chinos with an earthy colour, (maroon, dark blue, dark yellow, brown) Always have accesories, have a scarf for keeping warm and one for fashion (Or more than one:D) For shoes, have a pair of boots and a pair of canvas trainers. Whatever shoes you have it would be good to get a belt to match each pair of shoes.

Um thats basically it, you should get whatever you want really... but you should have a set in stone foundation
