They wont stop reminding me about MONEY.

Right now im learning to drive, which can be pretty pricy... but every time, and i mean EVERY time, that i go for a driving lesson my mum will make some comment like

'make the most of this, very expensive!'
'every time you have a lesson, its costing me half a days wages!'

But its with other things too. Like electricity... christ if i leave on a light in my room i get a lecture! and food bills, and water... everything!

I just wish they wouldnt burden me with pricing tagging every aspect of my daily existence!

Anyone else's parents do this?

My parents dont do this.

I cant imagine how tough it can be if you dont have a lot of money...Just relax and try to understand that things are expensive,

Hang in there, its only a matter of time

Maybe your parents are poor and they really can't pay out for stuff like that but they do it anyway because they love you? Maybe you will just have to ignore what they say and maybe they will stop. If you don't tell them you're getting annoyed they will keep on and on about it.

That's the thing, I'm not poor. Not at all. I mean I'm not eating caviar for breakfast or anything! But well off I'd say... Hence the annoyance with a constant focus on cash.

lol if anything I nag my parents about their money. But tell your mom to lay off you about money.

When she tells you that your driving lesson costs her a half a days wages come back right away with "why don't you teach me then and stop complaining about the price? if you're not happy with the price than don't pay it."

heres a fun fact

flourescent light bulbs are only energy efficient if turn them on and leave them for an hour or more, if you turn it off then turn it on again you'll burn an hours worth of energy just turning it on

Maybe they just want to learn you not to throw with money? And that you need to do good things with it? I think they only wanna learn you and only do it because they love you, but I understand it may be annoying sometimes ;)
