When is the right time for sex?

i've said before that my g/f and i are waiting until we are both ready to have sex. but how do you know when is the right time? all we know at the moment is that we are too young (13) but is it always about your age? help!!!

Ideally the right time for sex is when you are prepared for the consequences like pregnancy, therefore when you're able to care for a child. Though this isn't an ideal world so when you both are committed to each other and are educated with precautionary measures like birth control and condoms. Sex is something I think should wait until you realize that he/she is the one you want to be with for the rest of your life.

the right time is when you are both completely commited to eachother because your virginity is something u cant get back 1ce uve lost it and if have sex with the wrong person u can end up feelin really dirty. The right time is as soon as you can both your pants off. Well, maybe not in your case, because you are a virgin. If you love your girlfriend and she loves you then that's the time. I think it's hard for a 13 year-old to 'love' at that age because they've only realistically hit puberty. I had sex at 12 and I regret it so I suggest you wait about a year till you're going onto 15 years of age and you'll understand it better.

That doesn't mean you can't do sexual things though. I think I read one of your posts and you said you were dry-humping. That's a really safe thing to do (no worries of pregnancy or std's) but it's hard to do and not very satisfying. If you want to get nakey with her, you can masturbate eachother (not oral sex; you can still get an std from that), which means fingering and handjobs ONLY. That would feel alot better, and would still keep you safe.

Losing your virginity is something overrated. It is like everyone wants to and quite a few lie about it just to get attention. That is the wrong thing to do.
I have really no room to talk since I lost my virginity at fourteen but seriously, wait. As timisawesome said, starting with Oral sex and moving your way up is the best idea I think- you can see how you feel about maybe masturbating each other before taking things furthur. Although I do think 13 is a young age to be having sex, I think I would feel guilty that I stole another girls virginity at such a young age as I grew older. Im not saying wait forever, but maybe wait until your 15/16 before you start having sex.
