Lately my left eye has been twitching. A month or two ago it would twitch just once a day but now it's becoming more frequent. What's going on?

No idea. Are you stressed or nervous?

It's just a muscle spasm. Being on the computer a lot, too much caffeine, or being really tired can cause it to happen. Like what Infidel said it can be from stress, too.

Apparently, one way of treating eye twitches is to get a Botox injection:D
Here's what I found:
Mild Eye Twitching
-Will usually go away on its own
-Cut down on stress
-Rest up
Severe Eye Twitching
-Medication (different depending on situation) usually to relax muscles
-Botox injections
-Surgery only for the severest of cases that hamper vision
Hopefully, yours is only mild? You could still always try and convince a proffessor that you need to be excused from this months major project work, as it's making your eye twitch get out of control! :P

It happens to me and I don't drink lots of caffine and I'm not under a huge amount of stress. I'm not too sure what it is either, but I've got used to it lol. It only happens about once a week to me. If it's really annoying you go to your doctor.

The answer is found in bananas! You're lacking (I think) potassium. Eat a banana or other potassium-enriched food and it should be back to normal. :)
Unless its like violent, like Open-Close-Open-Close at 23948 blinks per second...

Nerves misfiring? It should go away on its own. If it doesn't I would see a doctor.

I know it might be a bit late, but it could be something called bletherospasm. (I have it too ). Bletherospasm is uncontrollable twitching of the eyelids due to almost everything said in the earlier posts (computer, fatigue etc).

I heard somewhere that eye twitching can be a sign of a stroke, but at your age I highly doubt that's the case.
