Okay it's my turn for the mood changes.

Quite recently I can be really happy then I can start to wonder why I was born and want to scream and cry because of my pathetic life. I wonder why I don't bother cutting and sometimes I actually hold a knife to imagine what problems it could cause.

I then get really angry and take it out on a couple of good friends. Then I get all happy again. Then upset, then angry.

I mean seriously. What the fuck is wrong with my fucked up life. I wish I was NEVER born. It's the truth. This world would do so much better without me. I'm nothing but a piece of dust that should have never existed in the first place.

The most probable explanation for your mood changes are your hormones and I know what you mean as I've also had unpredictable emotions where one minute I'm happy and the next I'm angry and I would direct it all at my best friend, who didn't deserve it and later I would feel terrible and would be so upset over it. Sadly he's no longer my best friend but I don't blame him as he's had to put up with it for years...Anyway enough about me.

You shouldn't say your life is pathetic because it's NOT! No-one's is. There are times when life takes its toll and you question your existence but that's normal. Unfortunately life on this planet isn't always bliss, in fact we're far from it but we have to hang on and see each day through, as each day is different.

If you need someone to talk to I'm always willing to listen.

Are you sure it would still be hormones? I mean in a few months I'll be 20. Feb exactly. And thank you.

Crazy hormones are not just the result of being a teenager, OP. Even though, you can still have hormonal imbalances when you're 19/20.

Too much stress and poor diet can cause this, too.

Hmm. I guess so. I do eat crap food 70% of the week's meals. And I've been under a fair bit of stress due to a few things. But I just want these stupid mood swings to disappear. I used to always be really happy. Now I'm a wreck sometimes.

Eat a little healthier and try and reduce the stress. You don't have to be a total health nut, but just cutting down on some things and figuring out solutions to your stressors can help tons.

I'm supposed to be somewhat on a diet anyway due to my diabetes but I find it hard to eat healthy.

Would this help at all? (http://diabetes.niddk.nih.gov/dm/pubs/eating_ez/)

Regarding your diet, this might help as well:

A study has shown that consuming sugar, caffeine, alcohol and chocolate can worsen your mood whereas consuming water, vegetables, fruit and oily-rich fish help to improve your mood (source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/2264529.stm).

This article talks more in-depth about which foods improve your mood and there is also a video too; http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/15490485/ns/today-today_health/t/improve-your-mood-these-foods/#.TmEKy6juKgJ
