Social Groups - 500 Posts

8. How do I create a group?

Once you have reached 500 posts which is the post requirement, then you go to Community, Social Groups, scroll down and click on Create a New Group.

I don't get the link and whenever I manually go to the create link I get the no permissions error.

Does not say we need to be a member for such and such.

Maybe it hasnt set in the system that you have 500 posts

That has nothing to do with groups.

There is a membership requirement further than 500 posts. 3 months, I believe, is the time you have to be on VT before you're allowed to create social groups.

They don't have any membership length requirement in that specific part of the FAQ :)

Rep power has absolutely nothing to do with your ability to create a group.

I doubt it's a glitch so it must be what Origami said. It's like the "This post is moderated", you know? You probably need to be on for 3 months. Why don't you ask Scarface or... Uh... Scarface is the only admin I remember.

But I really think it's the 3 months rule. They don't want noobs clogging the site with a bazillion stupid, useless social groups.

Patience, fellow noob. 3 months isn't that long of a time if you love VT cause if you do, you'll probably be here for a pretty long time.

PMing an administrator for these kinds of issues and getting the answer right away is sooooooo much easier than continuing to make useless threads like this one and not getting the right answer right away. There is a post and 3 month membership requirement, so that means you either wait or you can ask someone like m or someone else to make it for you.
