Well yeah is there anyone? I used to be so interested in acting I wanted to become an actor. Then social anxiety decided to come say hello to me. Now I'm more interested in the web side of things.

I don't want to be an actress, but I used to and I do love it, and I'm pretty decent at it. I'm in Drama II for the remainder that I'm at this school, (2 more days, then I move) and today I'm performing a monologue that I have half memorized and plan on memorizing all through today :P
It's a nice relief to put yourself into somebody else's life and try and portray them.

I agree with this. When i was a character i was no longer shy little Fran, its like my whole persona changed. I loved it!
Growing up i was always in the school productions and pantomimes, i always wanted to act when i was older.... but now i guess i have just grown out of that, and instead of being as wild and crazy through drama, i now show it through dance instead :) Acting is a hard business to get into.

It's always been acting for me. :) I've done musicals all throughout school, but I decided that film was what I wanted to do. I'm no where yet obviously... but I haven't been trying too much. It's hard to get the motivation up to go audition when you have a motivation-sapping mental illness like depression...
If I could choose any career at all, however, by far it's screen acting.

That's interesting. Social anxiety has no effect whatsoever on my desire to act. For some reason I can't stand up in front of class and give an oral report but I've never had an issue performing in front of a couple hundred people. And I've never had an issue playing an outgoing, bubbly character either when I myself am shy. I think it's just that with acting, you're not yourself. You're not vulnerable to everyone because they're not seeing you, they're seeing the character you've created and are portraying. That's why I've had issues with other performance styles, such as just singing in front of a crowd, modelling, etc. because it's just you, you have no mask to hide behind.

I used to do school play's really good at school concerts with around a couple hundred people watching. I was fine. I'm just worse now. Can't even start a conversation of my own let alone of someone else.

I'd really, really love to!!!!!!!!!!
However in order to pursue a career in acting, I'd have to go abroad because in my country (I know it's silly), no one can earn a living through acting only. The same thing applies to singing..........unfortunately
