I'm still kind of confused as to what it is.

The first time I seen it I thought it was another over the top advert for the new Call of Duty: Black Ops map packs.

ok so i went and saw apollo 18 and this is what happens in a nutshell.

basically the main characters all have these camereas they set up to capture what they see on the moon. most of these are handheld. once they get up to the moon everything goes fine. clean landing, set up, etc. but after the first day things start happening. when they are asleep they hear scratchig and wake up to find it keeps going on. when they wake up the first day they see that one of their samples ended up on the ground and they both had no idea how it got there. also that day they start having comm troubles with both houston and there docking ship. but thats just early, when they go out on their patrol around to see, they find a russian lander that has no one inside and scratches everywhere and blood on the floor. they do some exploring to find out what happened they follow his tracks into a crater that pitch black. so nate goes in to find out what happened. since his only form of light is a camera flash, he uses that. so hes looking around and all of the sudden the decomposed body of the russian cosmonaut flashes on the screen multiple times. :eek: they drag his body out of the crater to see what happened to him. they find a rip in his so nate, being the retard he is, puts his hand into it and right when he gets most of his glove into the suit it just moves for no reason. obviously making him react to pull his hand out. but again he puts his hand in and find a rock... thats strange isnt it?:what: now they go back to there ship to take off since they were only supposed to be their two days. but when they start to take off thier comms antenna rips, and so do 2 oxygen tanks. their stuck.

now this is when things get freaky...

upon realizing this nate goes outside to check and see if things are ok and all of the sudden the starts yelling "theres something in my suit, its in my helmet!" and in slow motion you see a spider thing just walk across his face. so the other guy rushes out to see whats wrong and he finds him on his side leaning on some rocks. they both get back inside and upon getting out of their suits the other guy notices nate bleeding through his clothes. they open his shirt to find a nasty wound, oval shaped, and bleeding. when he gets cloth onto it he feels something hard so the other guy has to get it out with plyers so its doesnt infect him more. its a rock. now what would a rock be doing making a wound like that hmm? 6 hours later nate, the infected, is sleeping when the other guy opens his shirt bto check on the wound, nate wakes up with searing red, bloodshot eyes and veins poking out everywhere on his face. he says "dont touch me" and backs off. they both go to bed, all of the sudden in the middle of the night nate gets up and starts filming the other guy in his sleep for no reason for hours. day 4 their oxygen tanks are running low so they sit back and try to wait for houston to figure out how to get comms back up, they dont. so realizing this in a panic the uninfected guy get both of their suits on, grabs as much film as he can, some spare oxygen tanks and puts it in a burlap sack. the both run out to there driving thing and take off for the russian lander in hopes they can get it to launch. midway through nate say "we arent safe here, there calling to me" and rolls off the the driving thing. and stumbles over to a crater he says "their coming from here and they want me with them" the other guy tries to negotiate him into getting away from there and all of the sudden some force put nates legs out from under him and drags him into the crater, the other guy goes after him. using the camera flash for light he starts searching around and the rocks start moving. getting up and forming legs so he runs as fast as he can out of there and runs toward where he thinks the russian lander is and he finds it gets inside and starts doing a maitenince check. all of the sudden the radio turns on and a russian voice saying something in russian about anyone being there he runs over to answer "yes yes can you here me hello??!!" he gets patched into the department of defense of the USA and says that hes going to try to take the russian lander out of there. the defense says "we cant let you do that"
"what why not im not infected, you guys knew about this, let me go, etc"
"we cant let you go, well tell your family that you died a hero."

he goes anyways, by now his ees are blood shto too and hes looking pretty bad.so as hes right about to take off, BAM BAM BAM its nate with a hammer. trying to break one of the windows so he can get in.
"i cant let you in nate you know that"
Bam "let me" BAM "in" BAM
"i cant im sorry"
"fine then" he turns right like hes going to walk somewhere and all of the sudden just dozens of the spider thing come crawling onto his face and the BOOM his head explodes. so he takes off and starts communticating woth his docking ship telling him thst hes going to try ti synch orbit and do a space walk. and all of the sudden in the docking ship the department of defense says "abrt picking him up, hes infected if you pick him up all comms will be terminated and you will die up there"
now back on the russian ship halfway through take off all of the sudden a whole bunch of ricks just float up out of nowhere and turn into those spader things, then BAM right onto his face and body biting him and you see his vains become infected as he gets chewed up. now back up to the main ship hes starts trying to get ahold of the other guy in the russian ship telling him to slow down, which he cant since hes dead so he keeps speeding up. faster and faster until they both fianally collide.

and thats the movie...


so the moral of the story is guns dont kill people space spiders kill people.

I went and seen it and honestly I didn't think it was that good. It's only rated 2 stars. I mean it wasn't bad but its not a movie that I would go see again.

It wasnt too good, the concept was good, but the effects werent too realistic, the little spiders were dumb.
