if you are adopted, your parents/you can change your name. if you have a criminal issue, that you are currently dealing with, it causes issue's, but if you are free and clear of everything, you're fine!
this goes for first, middle, and last name.

To officially change you would need to buy a new birth certificate with the changes. Not sure how else it's done but that's a start.

he said adopted. if you are adopted, you are issued a new B.C. being adopted and having your name changed, isn't the same as simply choosing to change your name.

If you're adopted it depends, my adoptive parents weren't allowed to change my first name, however my surname they changed. To change your name yourself you'll need to go through either courts or do it by deed poll depending on where about's you live. Its easy enough to do but unless you're a certain age you do need your parents (Guardians so your adoptive parent's) permission to do it. I had something changed a little while ago and it was very straight forward.

Well here it's way different. I guess each country has their own laws about things blah blah.

I have just changed my lastname.. I think its as long as your 16 you dont need parental consent. Changing surname is easy, but firtst name is a whole lot harder.

I know someone that had their first name changed. It's a lot easier than you'd think. The hard part is changing everything else along with it.. schools and banks etc.

if i ever get adopted, which i don't want to be, i would have the option of name change. my last name would be automatically changed, but i'd have my current last name remain, at least within my name somewhere.
