Party Playlsit?

Im having my 18th birthday party in a month and i need some serious help with the music!

I like alternative stuff.... indie, rocky, pop stuff.. but what kinda stuff do you play at a party?

whenever i've been to a gathering they've played dubstep, dance, main stream stuff... which im cool with, its just i duno what COOL partys play! (excuse the utter cliche, yet vital, inclusion of 'COOL')

Any suggestions VT peeps?? in really stuck!

Play the music u want. If nobody else likes the music f*** them. It ur party not theirs.

I've never really had a playlist. I just get my computer out and let whoever choose from what I have. :P But I'm not into big parties, mine are all intimate small gatherings.

But like the previous post said, play what you want. In this case, just find your favourite artists and pick out music that makes you feel good or makes you want to dance. Or if you share some music with a friend, consider adding that to the playlist.
