Whenever I send a visitor comment it says This message is moderated but in the FAQ topic it says:

3. “This Message is Moderated”

Users will get this message if they have less than 250 post or have joined in the past three months.

Does that mean 250 posts PLUS being here three months or either one or the other? As I have more than 250 posts.

Process of elimination. If you have 250+ posts and you're still getting that message, then it's because of the time frame.

No it means both, you have to have over 250 whilst being a member for 3 months, so this will stop in November as you joined last week.

Yes, it's and not or.
You have to have 250 posts and have been a member for 3 months.

Sorry for the confusion. :P

Well then 'or' should be 'and'. Correct?

I'll include this in the changes that are due to happen.

technically the wording in the faq is exactly correct, as the "or" goes. if you have joined in the past 3 months, or if you have <250 posts, your submissions will be moderated. it's quite consistent.

I get the feeling the wording means one or the other. Though if it's not bothering anyone lse no need to bother changing it.

It's to stop cammers from using this site to hook up.

it is a good idea for 3 months plus 250 posts though

People have to just be patient. Sometimes there can be a big back log, from when a mod hasn't been on to do them

That would be mostly my fault.

Doesn't that seem a little excessive wouldn't by the time someone reaches like 20 posts and being on the forum for a week prove that they aren't a spam bot or is there some ulterior motive I don't see.

Have you ever seen what I have to sort through? You wouldn't believe what I have to infract and warn for sometimes.

I believe the wait is suitable. I mean if you're that eager to be taken off moderation you'll stay a member. This is like a reward to the active members here.

Hmm... I guess a forum about teen problems and sexuality would have some bad things posted.

Its not always the things that are posted that are bad, its most of the time the intentions of the people and we try to have a barrier to avoid those issues. So we give them that simple 100 post limit, which if you re here for the legitimate reasons, then you should have no problems waiting.
