Does anyone else feel really guilty when you get a random erection around friends or family. Not caused by sexual thoughts, just one of those random ones. I always feel so freakin guilty and filthy for it. I know there's nothing bad about it, it just kinda puts me on a big old guilt trip. :(

Embarrassed and annoyed as well. Nothing you can do, but try n hide it the best way possible at the moment... i feel for ya and I am sure it has happened to A LOT of guys on VT

I would fall more to the embarassed side, than to guilt.
It varies from household to household.
If your parents are not that open minded on sexual discussions and have been telling you that wanking is bad, then perhaps there would be this old guilt trip that you mentioned.

But in general everyone would be embarassed if they sprout a boner with others around, its natural to have such feelings.

Just do not make it more obvious than it already is, im sure everything would be fine.
Many a times, attempts to cover up would cause people to realise it, rather than not doing anything about it.

My parents are VERY open about sexuality. I was raised knowing what a penis and vagina were, knowing where babies came from, knowing what sex was. (No it was not taught negatively, they just wanted me to know). I do get embarrassed and I dont know if it's guilt or just feeling awkward I guess. Sometimes I have to adjust if I'm in the car with my dad, because I have to get out of the car. I've become a master at quick adjustments though. But I guess other guys and stuff would probably notice since i'm sure they have had to do it.

I hate random boners! I wish I couldn't get them, I get them for no reason, Especially in school, then when I'm called up to the board I have to think fast and hide it. It's normal though, I feel more of an embarrassment though. I am not self conciois of my size or anything. I just would hate to be the kid with the boner all the time. I have like 25 erections daily.

yeah i get random boners all the time but i dont get embarrassed. if girls r around i hide them, but if its only guys around, i dont even try to hide them, i dont care if guys see me with boners

Doesnt bother me at all. I just make a few quick adjustments and its all good. All guys get them when you dont want to sometimes so around my guy friends I could care less if they see. If they get one when they see me with one well thats a diff story?? hahaha

its annoying for sure.. like one time during class i had a boner and it lasted almost the whole period, and when it was time to leave i was walking out the class with the backpack in front of my boner. pretty embarassing

i was thinking about ur question, and i think i know why ur feeling the way u do. ur thinking if u get an erection around a family member, then that means ur secretly attracted to them - not true! tell urself they r just random and u cant help it so u dont feel bad about urself. plus u say ur family is very open, so they will understand that they just happen.

I don't feel guilty, just embarassed, because they happen everywhere. I just try to hide it the best I can though when it happens. Plus, random boners can be bad! What if your girlfriend saw you look at another girl and then you got one.... it would be hard to explain.
