ok so last year i played recreational baseball and i played left fielder center fielder right fielder 2nd base and 3rd base mostly left and 2nd base and i was moved from 8th in the batting order down to 5 in 3 weeks and anyway what do you think my chances of making the freshman baseball team is? iam 5'7-5'8 and 241.8lb but iam physical active and a hard worker and never missed any practices or games.:what:

I don't play baseball, but I know a lot about high school sports and the coaches look for hard workers. Of course, it depends on how competitive the school is, but to me, it sounds like you've got a chance. I mean, my school is really competitive in volleyball, and I made varsity freshman year with no prior experience. It's about potential and working hard, so if you're debating whether or not to try out, definitely go for it! Good luck, hun.

the only thing that's bad is that you haven't had any solid practice in one position. i am 14 and just made varsity baseball. we are already practicing. you will need to work really hard and start getting in shape now. only because they look at those things when choosing players. the coaches look for those who have stamina. i would start running suicides now and doing bench jumps.

oh and how is your throwing arm and batting?

my arm is fine i played third base and got the ball to 1srt with no problem and i bat pretty good only struck out 3 times last year and got 2 foul balls out of 24 games i can steal bases though and i can catch any ball that is hit high in the out field BTW i batted every game
